Special Cat Sponsorship Our branch has set up this sponsorship scheme to assist with the homing of cats with medical conditions. Before this scheme was in place we found it extremely hard to find them homes. We unfortunately have very limited spaces available to house cats and if they are in a pen for a long time then the reality is that we have to turn away many others in need. The sponsorship scheme pays for the medical costs of their illness for life. Although it is still often hard to find them homes, we do stand a better chance without the financial burden. This scheme does put a great strain on our very limited finances. So if you are able to make a small contribution to our funds, please use one of the Paypal buttons located on all the main pages or send a cheque to our branch address. Even a £1 donation can help us to help them. Thank you. |

This is Tabitha. She is the lady that started it all. She was found wandering the streets looking very thin and unkempt. One of our volunteers picked her up and brought her into the branch. A blood test confirmed our suspicions that she had a thyroid condition and would need medication for the rest of her life. I'm happy to say that Tabitha has been successfully rehomed and is now leading a comfortable life full of the home comforts she deserves. |
This is Clare, she came into our care with a severe case of cystitis and sore eyes, both of which were treated successfully. Unfortunately the cystitis left her with damaged kidneys which requires her to be on a renal diet prescribed by the vet. Again we came to her assistance by offering to cover the costs of this diet and any medication needed for her condition. Clare has now been rehomed and leading a normal life. |

Do'nut came into our care heavily pregnant. A week later she had three kittens via caesarian section. We discovered that she had no feeling in her tail and surrounding area, because of this she has trouble controlling her bladder. She doesn't let this trouble her and leads a full active life, her fosterer allowed her the run of her home, not wishing for her to be in a pen for ages, as the prospect of finding her a new home would be difficult. Do'nut settled in so well with the family and other cats that she became Simone and now has a home for life. As you can see she is very happy. Sadly Simone passed away suddenly on 7th May 08, after spending one very happy contented year with her carers. She was a very special little girl who will be greatly missed. |

This is Ismel, she came into care with her two sisters, all of which were malnourished. Sadly we found Ismel the worst, we also found out why, she was going blind. Her owners hadnt noticed she couldnd find her feeding bowl. She got the option for an operation that would help save what sight she had left in her left eye. The operation went well, the recovery was good also, and once fully recoverd we found her a loving home as an indoor cat. |
