A Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year To All Our Friends and Supporters

December's News
December is a busy time for shopping, so please don't forget to use our link on the left hand side of the page. There are lots of big name shops to choose from and it will help to raise much needed funds for us at no extra cost you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At Christmas time please spare a thought for our longest staying residents.
Eva                                                              Lenny
Two abandoned cats, Eva and Lenny, have been in our care since the beginning of September. Just 18 months old, they are  now facing Christmas in foster care. Both of them are friendly, affectionate cats who really deserve a home of their own.
Marbles initially came into our care in February. She briefly enjoyed a loving home until her new owner was forced to give her up. Now Marbles is back in foster care. Marbles is a beautiful tortoiseshell cat with a wonderful personality. She needs an indoor home and has been waiting much too long.
UPDATE
We're pleased to announce that Marbles has been rehomed  today (December the 2nd)! Good luck in your new home Marbles.
We'll be doing our best to give Eva, Lenny and all the other cats and kittens in our care the best Christmas we can, but a foster pen is not the same as a real home. We won't give up on cats like these and we'll never stop looking until we have found them the homes they deserve.
Thank you for your continued support.
About Cats Protection
Cats Protection is the UK's leading feline welfare
charity and has been rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats since 1927. Our nationwide network of 29 Cat Adoption Centres and 260 voluntary-run Branches rehomes 60,000 cats and kittens every year.
But we could not do any of this without the generous support of the cat loving public.
Our Branch
The
Wellingborough and Rushden branch rehomed over 260 cats and kittens last year.
Our dedicated volunteers give up their spare time to assist cats and kittens in need.
From assisting feral cats to raising orphaned
 kittens we provide help wherever we can.
Sometimes our assistance is a lifeline for the cats
and kittens which come into our care.
WARNING
FLEAS CAN KILL
It would be a grave mistake to think of the flea as simply a nuisance.  A heavy flea burden can be lethal, especially to young kittens, ill, convalescing, or frail elderly cats.
Most pet owners have no idea that fleas can kill. Heavy infestations will cause the animal to become aneamic which left untreated can be fatal.
We took a kitten into our branch who was severely weakened by fleas, unfortunately after a very long night, he sadly died in his carer's arms.
Please seek veterinary assistance or ring our helpline for advice regarding the treatment of fleas
Eva and Lenny
Eva and Lenny have got to be two of the most adorable affectionate cats there are, so why are they still sitting in a pen awaiting a new home?
Left abandoned by their previous owners, they really need to be loved and cared for.
Can you find a place in your heart for two little angels?
Patience
=^..^=
Please be aware of the cats and kittens that come into our care.
Some have been abandoned,
 ill treated,
and some just not wanted anymore.
Some will take time and patience to gain human trust again.
Your time and love will gain their trust.
Thank You
Need a good Mouser?
We sometimes come across out-of-work mousers.
These poor unfortunate creatures have never had a proper home or have been away so long they've forgotten what it was like to have had one.
All they need is regular food and a dry sheltered place to spend the night.
For further information please get in touch.
